Pasted to the page are two photos. The first shows the Loa Pa’ku, Loa of Winds as seen in her roost. The Doe scribbles underneath: Pa’KU!!! Below that is a picture of an old friend, as she writes, “Mister Jukko!”

It’s been so long since I had a chance to write! I have been so busy with work and lately worship. Between these troll Loas and the spirit stuff Elder Wooshy taught me about,. I am pooped! I happened to meet a good friend in the city recently. I was in for supplies and trade deals when I bumped in to Mister Jukko. He was looking a bit worse for wear, having just arrived via portal from Orgrimmar. He explained that portal travel is always a hazard for him, he often feels very ill afterwards and has to nap to help take the edge off.

I helped him find an inn and set him up with a good spot and went back to my business. I ended up negotiating a trade of thirty barrels of salted fish for some of our extra tar - the trolls here favor the tar for all sorts of things and are happy to trade for it instead of trying to go to Vol’dun for it directly. Mister Jukko ended up finding me and we hung out a while! He was very curious about the loa he’d already heard about. So I helped him find some devotees of Pa’ku and we worked our way up to Warbeast Kraal to visit her! He was dazzled, exclaiming that seeing a loa in the flesh  - even from afar - was astonishing. And I do agree, she’s huge! One of the priests took a photo for me - with her permission. She likes to be seen, they said, and was generous to allow the photo. I was careful to leave her an ample offering for the favor. The priests were welcoming enough, more keen on Jukko’s dazzled self than my quiet offerings.

They took him as close as she’d allow, painting his face and chanting with him as she screeched to the sky. The very air rung with her noise. It was amazing and deafening. Jukko found me at a smaller alter and said this was so much so fast. He said maybe next time he’d learn more before jumping in like this. The priests laughed and said next time, she;d ask him to jump maybe! He looked very pale at this news. He’s a bull of the earth it seems.

We ended up taking a meal and lodging together, sharing news and the like last night as he desired to learn more of the lands he was exploring to help support his family back in Thundertotem. He’s taking up working for the Zandalari as a hired guard of sorts for brutosaur caravans in the jungles while he looks for better pay elsewhere. I offered him a spot with Ginja and I but he politely declined for now. He said the trader’s life could be too inconsistent for his current needs and i respect that fully.

Our work is certainly not constant, with a few weeks of down time sometimes laying us up as Ginja and I work on negotiations and supplies. Vol’dun is busier now! We’re not the only traders there, an d have branched out to Nazmir despite my feelings against it. I don’t want to be attacked by blood trolls, not do I want to expose or lose my team to them. Ginja says its a great opportunity - not many traders want to work there.I saw it first hand, Ginja hasn’t. She only hears the darker news in Zuldazar. If she could see it, she’d better understand the warnings.

Other than that.. it’s just been letters to Thundertotem for news on Routledge (there hasn’t been any. Im starting to think he’s just gone), letters with Elder Wooshy and Vik’wa and hanging out with Mister Jukko when he’s around. And trading, always trading.

I havent heard from the Broken Horn, though I heard through news they actually found Cataharon and the bull we found was someone else. That’s comforting. I should write to them too. That Ohanjo fellow was so forward, I liked talking to him. He made me think a bit. Elder Wooshy says he saw him recently in the bluffs after encountering a uh, an elf woman that made some spectacular claims that I think really bothered Wooshy.  I might go visit him soon, I think a trip back to the plains would be nice. Vik’wa would meet me in the Bluffs Im sure. We’re overdue for an evening of tea and books. The jungles and desert are nice enough, but I do enjoy the plains. Maybe I can visit the Broken Horn too. Im sure they’d welcome a visit.
