What a busy week! So much trade!

I traveled so much, I am sick of portals and wyverns. But, on the plus side, I went to Kalimdor for an orc gathering - a krosh og? I think that’s what it was called. I’m pretty sure I got the name wrong. I took a few of the team, and some samples and negotiated with several people for goods. It was a very productive afternoon. I’m so grateful they let us set up shop there in Bloodhoof!

I even met a Brokenhorn, by name of Telucti! He’s the third of their number i have met, the first being Ohanjo and Hukno. All of them have been amazing, I hope to learn more of their tribe. I talked a bit with Ohanjo in Thunder Bluff, he was a very forward bull, but not specifically rude. Telucti and I traded, though I waived the costs, the herbs he needed were for a sick calf, and are so easy to find, how do you charge to help a sick child? I sent my swiftest runner, Telly, to Orgrimmar to grab what we had in stock for him. Hopefully the calf makes a recovery.

I was invited, twice now, to meet with the Broken Horns in Mulgore, and I really want to - I just need to find the time between trading, hunting and traveling. I should write to them, and see if they need supplies first - as a gift, or a gesture of good will. I don’t know any tribe, clan or guild that doesn’t want for supplies.

Speaking of supplies I had a huge order for pones last night, it will take most of our stock. The buyer was a curious Zandalari woman I met in Vol’dun - She was tall, wearing thick linens against the blowing sandstorms that hit the region. She explained she wanted them for fetishes. I’ve had such orders before, but never so massive, but she really liked the kodo bones we had, as well as the wolf and plainstrider bones, calling them strong totems. She didn;t give me her name, preferring instead to go by Ma’am - which we honor. It does not do to impose upon your clients.

We’ll be contacting our team in Everlook to start shipping tomorrow morning. She paid really well, for just bones. The work of trolls is unusual to me, but I suppose no different than the way we tauren carve bones with symbols. I mean I’ve seen bone totems before as carried by tauren and Darkspear alike, even orcs. I think seeing the blood trolls of Nazmir, with their own fetishes and magics is what makes me cautious with troll magic, but I know it’s just one facet of a people, not the general. But I respect it - I don’t treat it lightly. If I am honest, I’m terrified of it, but it would be rude to say so to her face.

My time in Vol’dun was upset by happy occasions also! I was gifted the riding harness and the pick of a pack of domesticated hyena from the Vulpera of the Hideaway! Apparently my services in Vol’dun - errands, assisting in predator culls, helping to supply outposts and the like made them happy enough to let me ride one of their amazing hyenas. I’m honored, and already I adore the great beast. She hasn’t got a name yet, but I’ll see that it comes in time. She gets along well with Bhenta and Sufa, even recognizing that Bhenta is in charge. I was half wary of a fight, but they all met, sniffed, called and postured and got along fine. I’m excited to ride her through Vol’dun, my poor kodo struggles with the sands, being a beast better suited for firmer terrain.

I’m hoping to have a few quiet days here soon, time to bond with my hyenas, and maybe meet with this tribe. Trade is constant now that we have a devoted circuit through Vol’dun, and the trade in Kalimdor is also good. We’re growing, though slowly - Ginja and I like to keep our business small. And for now, that’s fine. No need to be massive and hard to manage.
