Oh but what an evening it was - I met with a few tribe-mates in Suramar. I’d not been there before. It certainly is vast, and beautiful! I must investigate further. We - Luu Muu, Rakahu, Meelo, Sianha (who I met earlier today!), and a pandaren Kit’cha - walked along, seeing some interesting parts of the region. We saw a great big stag - you could (if you were inclined to be rude I guess) cook him for days and he’d still be too tough to eat; basilisks of a real nasty type and a very lean type of cat. I have had little luck in working with cats, these did not feel open or friendly, attacking our number a time or two. They were dispatched as humanely as possible, and what could be salvaged was.
We took a rather scary walk up some cliffs to a bridge of land and stone - but it was worth it, the view was amazing. When I get a better handle on flying with the wyvern, I must come back and see if I can hunt here. We ended up sitting in a circle, telling stories and sharing experiences. It was so pleasant, sitting in .. in clean air, among better company. The recent days in Argus have been so terrible. Demons, their words, claws and stench - I can hear and feel them all still.
Meelo told a story of her second name, Rakahu told his story about the inoculation crystals from the Vindicar. I told a story about the large panthara I helped bring down - Meelo mentioned something about that if I were a shaman, the claw I carry from it might be a sign of mastery. It felt weird, hearing it put that way - as it didn’t feel victorious at all. But I appreciate Meelo’s words. Maybe I can ask her more later? She seems like she might have some answers, not that like that old bull I met. He only gave me riddles, and said it was not yet time to ask the spirits?
No word from Routledge yet - I expect he’s working somewhere. I’ll keep camp safe in the meantime. We’ve a good set up here. Storage tent, a covered space for the kodo and Bhenta, our main lodging and finally a half covered space for us to work - you know, make or mend tools, work with hides or for Routy to work at his smithing. It’s nice to come home to this space. The bedroll smells so inviting - I might nap a bit.
