I was sent back to Kalimdor by these Forsaken people - my new employers.

They completely bought the caravan and it’s services.  I have mixed feelings - they smell strange, and well.. they’re you know.. ..dead-not-dead. I won’t ask them how they manage that being alive, but looking dead, it seems tacky.

But.. the pay is good. Better than Drik’s pay - though I prefer Drik’s company to these. Spido was fired, and Drik runs the caravan on a new circuit here. He says the work is good, but he likes the Kalimdor runs better. I do my best to stay out of the way. I’m sent out on long hunts, seeking furs, meats and innards for them. I’m allowed to keep the hides - the rest they keep. As a result, I am much better at skinning and tanning then before. I brought a crate full of hides to trade in Thunder Bluff. I’m to bring back salts, fabrics and cordage back.

On a happier note, I got to meet with the Tribe this evening - something called a Feather Tale meeting. I heard such fantastic stories - I have even more to ask, to learn about and explore. A big crane called chee-jee in pandaria, witch doctors - amazing stuff. I cannot wait to ask Vik’wa. I told my story too - about the harpies that were stealing from us one night. I don’t think it was as good a tale as the others, but maybe it will help me gain a place in this tribe.  I saw Rak, Meelo, Toruha and Miss Rhedin. It was so nice to see familiar faces.. But not my mate. I haven’t been able to see him. I’m unsure if my letters ever arrived. Or maybe he’s angry.

I cannot raise Vik’wa on her little crystal anymore, I miss our lessons. Any letters I send her return crumpled and damp. The carrier only says it’s non-deliverable. No reasons.

On the topic of Vik’wa - I traveled via portal finally. I can see why people prefer it - it’s extremely fast, if alarming. My fur seemed to stand on end as I approached the portal, seemingly ripped in to life by one of these Forsaken - a mage she called herself, like Vik’wa. I entered it, and felt a tingling sensation all over my body, and just like that, I was in the Bluffs. Vik’wa would be happy to hear I finally used one. Weylo always said the arcane energies were a foul thing. I suppose it’s the easy nature of getting around is what he disliked?

Ah well - it was nice to try.
