A slim journal. An easily made sort of thing, obtained for just a few silver. The paper is cheaply made, the cover is just thicker paper. It’s entry is written in a rough hand, the ink smudged. It’s as though it were written with loads of energy and excitement.
I have visited the Bluffs for the first time; and the Orc city. Weylo was right. I should have stayed away from it. It smelled, it was so loud - I instantly pined for the dusty, quiet plains of home.
First thing is first - Mulgore. It was everything I had heard. Lush, fertile, home to many of our people. Weylo kept me from going for so long, I am finally free, able to go where and when I want. This was the first place I came to. Narache was first, where I helped with the quillboar raids. Those little shits, one came close to goring my leg. I stayed a few days, helping to fend off the attacks some.
Next I visited Bloodhoof Village. I had no idea people had wells, why didn’t *we* have wells? It’s so strange. So many fish in their lakes- huge fat catfish! Still working on the cleaning part though. Since leaving Weylo after our argument, I have learned so much. The kodo seem so much fattier than the ones in the Barrens! Oh! and I was not aware our people had vision quests. It was an ordeal. I had to sit for three days with no food or water by a lake! I had to go back to the shaman and drink a weird herbal brew - oh but it was amazing. I saw myself leaping across the plains, back to the Barrens with a hyena by my side. The shaman said that was a totem animal, and that I should take heart, that it’s a strong animal. I felt such a strong sense of purpose!
I met an Orc there. He was friendly enough, but laughed at me when I asked about some work in the Orc city. He told me to put some “meat on my bones” and then apply for some duty. Hilarious! Later, I was directed to visit Thunderbluff! Finally! Weylo had told me it was where tribes met and mingled, where our people came together. But it was so.. quiet. I kind of liked it, but the tribes I had envisioned weren’t there. I met one person; her name was Fern. She had the most beautiful calf with her! He has TWO mothers, what a lucky little thing! Fern mentioned that the troubles abroad have made many tribes relocate some to better situated to help battle the demons. I hope I see her again, she seemed so nice. I need to ask her about a tribe or two I heard mentioned during my time in Bloodhoof. She might know what this Thundermoon tribe is about.
I traveled back to the Barrens, and assisted in a place Weylo only ever mentioned. The Crossroads. I traveled there from Orgrimmar - what a place! It was SO BIG. and SO MANY PEOPLE. I had only heard of this place, and only seen some of these people. It sort of smelled, good and bad. There was so much food, people peeing on the walls, dancing. I sort of want to go back, but for now.. I’ll stick to the Crossroads. The warm sun beating down, the dusty air. It really is home.
